Hi Danny,I was directed here from the Defected forum and just have a question regarding the course.Would this course still be suitable for me if i only know the basics of Logic?I know quite a bit, but the in-depth stuff like buses and side chaining i am not too sure on at the moment. Many thanks,Paul.
Paul.. i wouldn’t worry.. we try to explain things so that a wide range of people can enjoy the course.. everything is demonstrated with videos and you can ask questions in the forum and chat.
Thanks for the reply Danny,I am going to sign up for the june or july course. I am looking forward to it!Thanks again,Paul.
Danny,I’m extremely excited about this class but I have a few concerns. I come from a Windows background but have used DAW’s for over 10 years (Cubase, Pro Tools, etc). I’ve been looking into purchasing a Mac and Logic over the past couple of months and frankly I’m a little puzzled at exactly what I need to get going? Can you please help me out? What model of Mac should I go with? Any other input you can offer would be great. I sincerely appreciate the help and look forward to the June class.
Daniel.. sorry for the late response.. i wasn’t aware there was a new post until now. Before using Logic i was PC based and using Cubase so i was in a similar position. Now all i use is a Macbook Pro with a Focusrite Saffire and Liquid Mix, nothing else aside from a midi controller. The performance is spot on and I rarely run out of power – even without bouncing.. Logic has all you need to make decent music – occasionally you might feel the need for a third party plugin – especially when it comes to rhythmic modulation of sounds..
Hi Danny, I have checked the point blank site but can not find out how to enrol on this course.sorry as sure its very obvious.thx
Hi danny, Scrap that found it.. thxOne more for you, will you be doing a Deep soulful house course for cubase at any time?.many thanks.
@ Anonymous – re Cubase course, i’d like to but there’s just not enough demand at point blank.. if you get enough people to protest you never know!
